We provide excellent recruiting opportunities for students skilled in computer science, information science, and statistical science, with broad experience at the intersection of other disciplines, such as communications, digital arts, and engineering. CIS has approximately 1050 undergraduate majors across its three complementary departments, 200 professional Master's students and 215 Ph.D. candidates. For general information about corporate recruitment opportunities, please contact the Cornell Engineering Career Center.
The best way to reach your target population is to post positions in Cornell's Handshake, the student portal for jobs and upcoming career events. To schedule on-campus interviews, please follow the instructions and complete the Interview Date Request.
To connect with students in person, you may attend a career fair in September or February, or visit campus to hold an information session, tech talk, or office hours. Information sessions, tech talks, and staffing a table in Duffield Hall, are all events that would be coordinated and hosted by an CIS/Engineering student organization of your choice.
If you wish to schedule an event specifically for graduate students, we recommend you schedule through the Engineering Graduate Student Association, through the link above.
If you would like to schedule a phone call to discuss your Cornell recruiting strategy, please contact Engineering Co-op & Career Services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information sessions and technical talks are an effective way to reach a large number of highly engaged students and can serve as an important part of your engagement with CIS. These company-specific events are scheduled through our student organizations. Student leaders help companies with logistics, including room reservations and marketing. Companies generally pay a small fee and pay for catering and giveaways.
